The Administrative Codes for the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations require that every person employed as a registered employee of a private detective, private alarm, or private security agency certified under the act, complete within 30 days of employment, a 20 hour basic training course.

This basic training course is designed to meet the needs of persons interested in becoming employees of private detective or private security agencies within the state of Illinois. Upon completion, students will be qualified to apply for and receive their Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC).
